New Chapters Kids Book Club In-Person
New Chapters is a monthly book club for lower elementary children who are branching into easy chapter books. Parents may also read the book aloud to their kids, but children will attend book club on their own. The book must be read before the meeting date so children can participate in our discussion and related activity without spoilers (though children are encouraged to attend whether or not they enjoyed the book). This month we are reading the fantasy book The Story of Gumluck.
Registration is required and opens 4/11. To register, visit the children’s desk at the library to pick up a book (or put one on hold if we run out). Readers will borrow a library copy to read before the club meeting. Then at the meeting, we'll raffle off a copy of the book to keep.
