Butterfly Release Party (Date TBA) In-Person
The children's room is raising painted lady butterflies in late May and early June. We don't know exactly when they will hatch, so the date is TBA, falling somewhere between June 10th - June 21st. By registering at this event, you will receive an announcement of date a few days before we host it, as the butterflies are ready for release within a week of their emerging, and we need to pick a rain-free day to sent them loose.
Our release party will include a story, some rhymes, and an up-close look at our butterflies before we say goodbye down at the Gazebo by the senior center. Some children may get to hold a butterfly and help set it free. (Gentle hands required!) Children of all ages and a caregiver are welcome. We will announce the date through emails as well as on our webpage and social media.
