Nickelodeon™ award-winning children’s entertainer Mike Bent brings his nationally recognized talents to the library!

Using hilarious comedy, amazing magic tricks that BOGGLE the mind, games, music, sound effects and riveting storytelling, this games-and puzzle-themed magic show will help even the most reluctant readers build fun associations with books, and inspire kids to read all summer long. Mike's show ties into popular books like Dog Man and critically acclaimed kids books like The Invention of Hugo Cabret. 

The show is best suited for ages 3 and up. Registration is required due to limited seating.

Mike Bent was named “Best of Boston” by Boston Magazine, won the 2009 Nickelodeon™ Parents’ Picks Award for "Boston's Best Children's Entertainer" and was featured on the cover of MAGIC Magazine. He has performed at the White House -- ten times -- and was even the opening act for President and First Lady Obama! He is the author of "The Everything Guide to Comedy Writing" and teaches comedy writing at Emerson College where he recently won the Alan Stanzler Award for Academic Excellence.
